Got Boring Baby Cereal? Make Biscuits!

Got a box of baby cereal? Got a baby whose getting pretty darned bored with it? Yeah, you'd probably probably get tired of the same mushy mess every morning, too. Sure, it's wholesome, but its no fun. My little one prefers finger foods to getting spoon-fed at this point.

Here's a way to recycle that cereal your baby's turning his or her little nose at, and make it yummy again:

What you'll need:

2 tablespoons butter (organic is best)
1/2 cup granulated sugar (organic cane sugar is best if you can find it!)
1 egg
1 tbsp water
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups baby cereal

-Preheat oven to 300 degrees.

-Mix sugar and butter in a mixing bowl. Add vanilla extract, water, baking power and eggs and mix until blended.

-Still in cereal gradually and knead until mixture if even and smooth.

-Shape into a rectangle and cut into small bars-be sure to smooth down those sharp corners. We don't want any little gums cut!

-Place bars on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for about thirty minutes or until bars are dried.

-Place in uncovered container overnight, and let your little one enjoy the next morning!

Feel free to try one yourself-they're pretty darn good.
